We have a smoothie that we all just love.

It’s delicious.

It’s easy to make.

It’s nice and cold on a warm day.

The younger kids don’t really care, but I love how healthy it is.

It’s a great way to start the day.  …  Have it with a muffin and you’ve got a great breakfast.

Or as a snack between meals, it’s perfect.

You can make it and take it to go.

Or  …  you can make it while you’re out.  …  No really.  You could if you really wanted to.  A couple of summer ago, the little ones and I had a summer full of camping and travel plans.  My father, knowing how much we enjoy smoothies (every day), bought me this really cool hand-operated blender.  Its awesome.  And the kids think it’s the coolest thing ever.

But, back to our smoothie  …  I hope you love it as much as we do.

Super Smoothie

1/3 lb soft/silken tofu

2 Tbsp wheat germ

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 oz orange juice

1/2 banana

1 cup frozen berries

1/2 Tbsp sugar

This is optional – we don’t include this anymore, but we used to.

Put all ingredients in a blender and mix it up.
